Our Children's Ministry is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth and development of young believers through engaging and age-appropriate programs. We utilize three dynamic curriculums: *Godly Play* by Jerome W. Berryman, which fosters creativity and deep reflection on biblical stories; *WalkThisWay* by Anne Marie Gosnell, which provides practical applications of Christian values; and the weekly Torah Portions, offering a comprehensive understanding of the Jewish roots of our faith.
In addition to our curriculum-based learning, our ministry includes a vibrant Choir program. Children in the Choir practice every other Sunday, integrating their musical talents into their discipleship journey. They are also encouraged to participate in the main service on the fifth Sunday of each month, contributing to the worship experience.
To enhance our programming and ensure a more tailored educational experience, we have a pressing need for additional teachers for the upper-grade levels. This will allow us to split the class into 1-2nd grade and 3-5th grade groups once again, providing more focused instruction and support for each developmental stage.
Thanks,
Bere
With the launch of our new church website, we are also starting a blog... so let's kick it off with a celebration!
SolFul 2024 was a huge success!!! As a church, we're not big on programs but we're huge on partnerships, especially with our local community and our city. So it was a gift to partner with the Fullerton School District (FSD), Encore, and the dedicated staff from Richman and Rolling Hills Elementary School this year. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone in FSD who supported us and made this happen!
The program ran for three weeks, and over 75 enthusiastic students participated. They are image bearers of God who brought their unique energy and curiosity as they dove into topics such as music, STEM, creative arts, writing, social skills, and sports. Seeing their growth and joy as they explored new subjects mirrored the joy of discovering God's creation and goodness.
Lastly, we also thank each of the 56 volunteers and leaders for their time, commitment, and care for each student. SolFul cannot be what it is without them. They are the literal embodiment of the Kingdom of God (whether they know it or not). Special thanks to Elliott Ramirez, Janice Lee, Kate Lee, and LJ Estrada for taking the lead in planning and mobilizing SolFul 2024.
Here's to celebrating SolFul 2024 and looking forward to all that God has in store for us!
